LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Euclid, Ohio at the office of the Director of Planning and Development at 585 East 222nd Street, Euclid, Ohio 44123; up to the hour of 2:00 PM Local Time on Monday, April 10th, 2023, and read publicly at the Board of Control Meeting at 4:00 PM Local Time on Monday April 10th, 2023 in Council Chambers at the above address, for the following improvement project:

 

Hero Park Trail Improvement

Engineer’s Estimate of Cost: $ 211,500.00

 

Said improvements shall be in accordance with specifications and proposal forms on file with the Director of Planning and Development. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be purchased at:

Prospective Bidders must purchase a Bidder’s Package (1 full size set (22”x34”) of plans and 1 specification book) for $150.00, exclusive of shipping charges, in order to be considered a BIDDER. PAYMENT FOR PACKAGES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.

 

The work covered by the plans and specifications includes: the installation of approximately 3600 feet of a new 6-foot-wide asphalt path and related work items at Hero Park located north of Euclid Avenue between E. 222nd Street and E. 228th Street. All work under this contract shall be completed within 60 days of Notice to Proceed.

 

Bids shall be addressed to the Director of Planning and Development, 585 E. 222nd Street, Euclid, Ohio 44123, attention Patrick Grogan-Myers and marked “Hero Park Trail Improvement”.

Any Proposed Equal for a Standard shall be submitted to the Engineer not later than 7 days prior to the bid opening. If no Addendum is issued accepting the Proposed Equal as an Approved Equal, the Proposed Equal shall be considered rejected.

Supported by a grant from the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation’s National Coastal Resilience Fund (NCRF) , this event is designed to help local residents explore sustainable, eco-friendly approaches to shoreline protection. What Are Nature-Based Strategies (NbS)? Nature-based strategies (NbS) use natural materials and ecological design to help stabilize coastlines. Unlike traditional hard infrastructure, NbS measures offer dynamic benefits, including: Erosion Control & Shoreline Stabilization: Protecting property against wave action and weather. Storm Damage Protection: Absorbing impact during severe weather events. Water Quality Improvement: Filtering runoff naturally before it reaches Lake Erie.
