Tree Trimming by First Energy:
Please note: First Energy is the only utility that trims trees around wires. First Energy hires a contractor every year to do maintenance trimming. Once the contractor trims the tree(s), they usually come back within the week to pick up the branches. However, if First Energy has to trim branches during or after a storm event, they leave the branches and it’s the homeowner’s responsibility to dispose of them. Branches may be put out with your regular garbage but they must be cut into 3’-4’ lengths and visibly bundled. Please call (216) 289-2701 with any questions.

Illegal Dumping Prevention Initiative
Protecting Our Neighborhoods Starts With Us. Shine a light on Illegal Dumping
The City of Euclid is launching a targeted campaign to combat illegal dumping, funded through a recently awarded environmental grant. This initiative includes public outreach, enforcement efforts, and a new billboard on St. Clair Avenue to raise awareness.
What Is Illegal Dumping?
Illegal dumping is the unauthorized disposal of waste on public or private property. This includes trash, construction debris, tires, appliances, and other materials left in alleys, vacant lots, or roadside areas.
Why It Matters
Dumping harms our environment, lowers property values, and creates health and safety hazards. It’s also a violation of city ordinances and subject to fines.
How You Can Help?
• Report Dumping: Use Euclid Connect or call the Service Department at 216-289-3800 to report illegal dumping.
• Organize Cleanups: Partner with us for community cleanup events.
• Dispose Properly: Visit our [Waste Disposal Guidelines] page for approved drop-off locations and bulk pickup info.
Enforcement & Education
We are increasing surveillance in high-risk areas with cameras and our and the Euclid police. We wish to educate residents and businesses about proper disposal practices. We want to encourage everyone to Keep Euclid Clean.
Together, we can stop illegal dumping and build a safer, cleaner community.
