Upcoming Project Information: Chardon Road Resurfacing

 

The Ohio Department of Transportation and the City of Euclid are currently planning a project that will involve the asphalt resurfacing of Chardon Road (US 20) from East 221st Street to the East Corporation Line in Euclid, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Additionally, the project will include upgrades to ADA curb ramps, pavement repairs, partial curb replacement, pavement markings, and signage. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in the summer of 2025.

 

We welcome your questions and comments. Issues you may wish to comment on may include, but are not limited to, the effect of the project on local residents, air quality, the local economy, floodplains, and historic or cultural resources. Comments are requested by May 1, 2024, to ensure your comments may be considered during project development.

 Give your input on future grant-funded community development projects! Our city will be applying for the 2026 Community Development Supplemental Grant (CDSG) from Cuyahoga County. The grant provides up to $50,000 per awardee . Funds must be used for visible improvements that make neighborhoods safer, healthier, or more welcoming. Eligible projects include: ‎ ‎‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎ Parks & Playgrounds‎‎ (equipment, resurfacing, safety upgrades) ‎ ‎‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎ Streets & Safety (sidewalks, crosswalks, lighting, benches) ‎ ‎‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎ Community Spaces (senior centers, rec centers, gathering spaces) ‎ ‎‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎ Demolition/Cleanup (unsafe or blighted small structures) ‎ ‎‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎ Planning Projects (studies/master plans for future improvements) Projects must benefit the whole community , not just one household or business.
