he city of Euclid proudly celebrated the official grand opening of the new Recreation and Wellness Center on Saturday, July 11th, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that drew enthusiastic community support. There were close to 500 people who toured the new facility from Noon until 5:00 pm that day.

Many residents turned out on a beautiful day to witness the milestone, showing their strong backing for a facility that was built to support recreation programs, and to promote healthy and more active lifestyles in the city of Euclid. Mayor Kirsten Holzheimer Gail, City Council, Recreation Commission, and local and state leaders joined the crowd as the ceremonial ribbon was cut, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Euclid’s commitment to resident recreation and wellness.

“This space will be a place where the community will connect with one another and make health and community vitality a priority,” said Mayor Kirsten Holzheimer Gail. Senator Kent Smith and Representative Eric Synenberg expressed gratitude to residents and showed their support. Recreation Director Mac Stephens recognized the Perspectus Architecture and Dave Urbansky for guidance in seeing the project through. Infinity Construction company was highlighted for making the initial blueprints into an amazing facility.
