East 185th St. Construction Update

September 21, 2023

Work has shifted to the west side of E. 185th Street

Catts Construction plans to shift the work zone to the west side of E. 185th Street as soon as Tuesday, 9/26 weather permitting.

  • Crews will be working this Saturday, 9/23, in order to help complete the work in time to switch construction to the west side.
  • Northbound traffic will be maintained from Villaview to Windward, but on the east side of the street, with one lane of parking along the east side curb.
  • Southbound traffic will continue to be detoured to E. 200th Street between Villaview and Abby.
  • The work on the west side of the street will begin with milling the roadway surface. This may interfere with the flow of traffic briefly at intersections.
  • Once the milling is complete, two crews will work to remove and replace the west side curbs and catch basins, one starting at Windward moving south, and the other at Villaview moving north. The goal is to complete the curbs first so the final road surface can be completed.
