Euclid CDBG FY 2027 Public Hearing 1: Public Service Proposals
Three public meetings will take place, starting Thursday, Sept. 17th, 6:30pm at Euclid City Hall.
Since 1974, the City of Euclid has been an Entitlement Community, where grant funding is received directly from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The grant funding allows the City to implement various projects and programs that benefit low- to moderate- income households and persons relating to housing, economic development, public improvements, and limited public services, in order to create suitable living environments, economic opportunity, improved neighborhoods and public facilities, and the elimination of slums and blight.
In Fiscal Year (FY) 2026, the City of Euclid received $990,169.00 from HUD.
Due to current projections through Congressional Budget Appropriations actions, it is anticipated that the City of Euclid will receive approximately $950,000.00 in CDBG funding in FY 2027.
Proposals for limited Public Service activities to be carried out by City departments and/or nonprofit organizations, as well as for physical development projects and programs for Housing Rehabilitation, Municipal Beautification, and Public Facilities Improvements; additionally, Economic Development Activities, and activities that Affirmatively Further Fair Housing, for FY 2027 will be discussed through the Community Development Citizens Advisory Committee, a nine-member committee dedicated to advising and guiding the direction of Euclid’s annual CDBG funding.
The City of Euclid will be soliciting public feedback and comments on FY 2026 CDBG-supported projects and programs, and planning for FY 2027 CDBG, through a series of public meetings and participation.
Public Meetings will take place between September and December of 2026. Interested residents and stakeholders are welcome and strongly encouraged to attend these meetings and participate in the planning process.

- Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 6:30 PM: Euclid City Hall – Council Chambers. Public Hearing 1: Hearing for Public Service Applicants for FY 2027
- Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 6:30 PM: Euclid City Hall – Council Chambers. Public Hearing 2 and Work Session: To review and score FY 2027 Public Service Applications, evaluate CDBG accomplishments for FY 2026, and to establish a preliminary budget for FY 2027 CDBG Programs and Projects – such as Housing, Public Infrastructure, and Economic Development
- Friday, October 9, 2026: City of Euclid to release preliminary FY 2027 CDBG Budget for 30-day Public Comment Period, ending Monday, November 9, 2026
- Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 6:30 PM: Euclid City Hall – Council Chambers. Public Hearing 3: To review and consider comments received through Public Comment period, to solicit additional public comment and questions, and a final vote from the Citizens Advisory Committee on the preliminary FY 2027 CDBG Budget.
- Monday, December 7, 2026 at 7:00 PM: Euclid City Hall – Council Chambers: Regular City Council Meeting to vote on the preliminary FY 2027 CDBG Budget for City Council vote.
