Building Resilient Shorelines: Join Us for a Nature-Based Strategies Workshop Living along Lake Erie offers stunning views and vibrant community life, but lakefront property owners and coastal communities also face distinct challenges from shoreline erosion and storm damage to habitat loss. To address these challenges, the City of Euclid is excited to host an interactive community workshop: Building Resilient Strategies: A Workshop for Lake Erie Property Owners and Communities . Supported by a grant from the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation’s National Coastal Resilience Fund (NCRF) , this event is designed to help local residents explore sustainable, eco-friendly approaches to shoreline protection. What Are Nature-Based Strategies (NbS)? Nature-based strategies (NbS) use natural materials and ecological design to help stabilize coastlines. Unlike traditional hard infrastructure, NbS measures offer dynamic benefits, including: Erosion Control & Shoreline Stabilization: Protecting property against wave action and weather.
