The National Affordable Housing Act of 1990 (Housing Act) as amended and implemented through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations at 24 CFR 91, requires local governments to create a Five-Year Strategic Planning document, the HUD Consolidated Plan (Plan) and submit One-Year Annual Action Plans.

City of Euclid Community Development Block Grant – FY 2022 Annual Action Plan

The National Affordable Housing Act of 1990 (Housing Act) as amended and implemented through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations at 24 CFR 91, requires local governments to create a Five-Year Strategic Planning document, the HUD Consolidated Plan (Plan) and submit One-Year Annual Action Plans. 

The One-Year Annual Action Plan is an application for a program, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), administered by the City of Euclid through the Department of Planning and Development’s Division of Community Development. The 2022 application enables the City to access and use new funding of $1,007,533.00. 

Notice is hereby given that the City of Euclid Department of Planning and Development’s Division of Community Development has developed a draft of the One-Year Annual Action Plan for FY 2022 and will make the Plan available for public review on the City of Euclid’s website at www.cityofeuclid.com, and at Euclid City Hall. 

The Annual Plan will be available for a thirty (30) day comment period beginning June 6, 2022 and ending July 6, 2022. 

This notice is being published to afford all interested persons an opportunity to review a draft copy of the One-Year Annual Action Plan for 2022.

Interested persons may also submit comments on the Action Plan in writing or by email. Comments should be directed to Edward Chenock, Jr., Community Development Manager, City of Euclid Department of Planning and Development, 585 E. 222nd Street – Euclid, Ohio 44123, via telephone at (216) 289-8140, or via email at echenock@cityofeuclid.com. Any comments should be in writing and should be submitted no later than Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 4:00 PM.

 Give your input on future grant-funded community development projects! Our city will be applying for the 2026 Community Development Supplemental Grant (CDSG) from Cuyahoga County. The grant provides up to $50,000 per awardee . Funds must be used for visible improvements that make neighborhoods safer, healthier, or more welcoming.
