Road Construction Notice: Euclid Avenue and E. 185th St

🚧🚨ROAD CONSTRUCTION NOTICE🚨🚧

Two major roadway improvement projects are scheduled to begin on May 16th: The ODOT Euclid Avenue resurfacing project and the East 185th St. resurfacing and beautification project. Euclid Avenue resurfacing will run from the Cleveland Corp. line to the Wickliffe Corp. line, and is scheduled for completion in early October 2022. The East 185th Project runs the stretch of 185th from Nottingham Rd. to Lake Erie. 

Barrels and signage will be put out on May 16th for both projects. 

Please Note: Traffic patterns will change to accommodate construction on both roadways.


🚧Changes in Traffic Patterns for E. 185th Construction:🚧 

  • One-way traffic will be maintained during construction in the North bound direction beginning at Villaview Rd. 
  • South bound traffic will be detoured from East 185th to East 200th Street. 
  • Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times on Lakeshore Blvd.
  • Work will begin on the West side of the road while traffic is maintained on the East side. 
  • One Lane of on street parking will be permitted during construction on the maintained travel lanes of the road only. Additional side street restrictions and closures may be necessary at various points throughout construction. Detour signs will be posted as these occur.
  •  Advanced warning signs will be placed outside of the work area informing the public of the construction work and any changes in the traffic patterns.

The grant provides up to $50,000 per awardee . Funds must be used for visible improvements that make neighborhoods safer, healthier, or more welcoming. Eligible projects include: ‎ ‎‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎ Parks & Playgrounds‎‎ (equipment, resurfacing, safety upgrades) ‎ ‎‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎ Streets & Safety (sidewalks, crosswalks, lighting, benches) ‎ ‎‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎ Community Spaces (senior centers, rec centers, gathering spaces) ‎ ‎‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎ Demolition/Cleanup (unsafe or blighted small structures) ‎ ‎‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎ Planning Projects (studies/master plans for future improvements) Projects must benefit the whole community , not just one household or business.
