Welcome to Euclid Dillon Harris, Eric Schraibman, and Clifton Harris- Euclid Fire Departments three newest members. The addition of these three new hires brings the total number of EFD staff up to 85- the highest number we’ve had since 2002! These new firefighters also bring the number of lifetime hires for the Euclid Fire Department to 300- a milestone EFD Fire Chief Chris Haddock says the department plans on celebrating later this summer.

“Our increase in numbers represent a commitment by Mayor Holzheimer Gail to the Euclid Fire Department, and to the safety of our citizens,” said Fire Chief Haddock in his opening remarks.

Dillon Harris is a 2008 graduate of Eastlake North High School who received his fire training and certification from Cuyahoga Community College. He will complete his paramedic training this month through Auburn Career Center. Dillon joins EFD after serving as a part time firefighter for the Perry Joint Fire District.

Eric Schraibman grew up in West Park and is a 2018 graduate of Lakewood High School. He received his fire training and certification from Cuyahoga Community College and his paramedic certification from University Hospitals Parma Medical Center. Eric joins EFD after serving as a part time firefighter and paramedic for the Painesville Township Fire Department.

Clifton Harris was born and raised in Akron and is a 2016 graduate of Ellet High School. He received his paramedic training from the Akron General Medical Center, and his fire training from both Stark State College and the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department. Clifton joins EFD after serving as a career firefighter for the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department in our nation’s capital. Clifton was on duty and assigned to the scene during the attack on the Capital Building January 6th, 2021.

All three men were given the oath of office by Mayor Kirsten Holzheimer Gail February 18th in a brief ceremony surrounded by their friends and families. Welcome to Euclid gentlemen! We’re so proud to have you on our team.
