Housing Accessibility and Rehabilitation Grant Program

February 4, 2026

Euclid residents can receive a grant award of up to $7,500 to help with eligible home improvement projects.

The City of Euclid is excited to announce the launch of the Housing Accessibility and Rehabilitation Grant Program, designed to enhance the quality of life for our residents by assisting with necessary home improvements. Funded by the City of Euclid’s annual allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), this program is a valuable resource for homeowners seeking to make critical updates to their properties.

Program Funding and Eligibility:

Eligible homeowners can receive a matching grant covering up to 75% of the project costs, with the homeowner contributing the remaining 25%. For example, if your project costs $5,000, the City of Euclid will provide $3,750, while you are responsible for $1,250. The maximum grant award is $7,500.

The Housing Accessibility and Rehabilitation Grant Program is available to homeowners who meet the following criteria:

  • Residency Requirement: Applicants must own and live in their home within the City of Euclid for at least one year.
  • Income Guidelines: Eligibility is determined based on HUD income guidelines, which consider the total income of all earners in the household.
  • Financial Standing: Homeowners must be current on their mortgage and property taxes to qualify.

Please note that certain circumstances, such as assumed violations, Point-of-Sale Inspection issues, and items covered by homeowner’s insurance, are not eligible for grant funding.

If you have questions about your eligibility, please reach out to our Division of Community Development for guidance, especially if you have a mortgage modification or are on a payment plan with the Cuyahoga County Treasurer
